Customers praised this cash counter for being "fast and accurate," with UV counterfeit detection. The machine counts bills quickly and reliably, saving significant time for businesses. However, customers noted it jams with wrinkled or unevenly stacked bills and cannot distinguish mixed denominations. Most found it easy to use with great value for the price.

Great bill detective

This bill counter works well for large quantities of cash. It detects all counterfeit bills and allows a fool-proof digital count of the exact amount of bills and their total. Great for all cash businesses or for art.

Fast and Reliable Money Counter

This money counter machine is fast, lightweight, and very reliable. When I get tired of counting money, I slap it into this machine, which accurately counts the bills. In addition, there are security features to detect fake money. The money counter is ready to use out of the box. Plug in the power and optional digital tracker, and it is ready to go.

Super handy :)

I picked up this money counter machine for the garage sale we were having - counting by hand was just taking forever. Got it set up, and it works like a charm. The included manual sure made setup easy. Sure beats the old manual way of doing things. Its Speed is good, and it seems pretty accurate. Not sure how much use I'll get out of it now, but it sure came in handy. If you're dealing with a lot of cash often, I'd say it's worth a look.

Amazing quick and accurate!

MUNBYN IMC51 Money Counter Machine is super FAST AND ACCURATE at counting money. The BEST FEATURE is it detects counterfeit bills in a flash! We did a quick counterfiet test and WOW, this machine did not disappoint...detected our real-looking play money in a heart-beat! ( see our test video). The only disappointment is that is can only count same denomination at a time.Other than that, shipped fast, packaged extremely well and secure. It's ACCURACY at this speed is uncanny! So super EASY TO OPERATE. Right out of the box we plugged it in and started using it!Comes with an external digital counter, among all the accessories needed to get started. We can not give less than 5-Stars, even with the disappointing same denomination count, because we knew that prior to ordering. This machine would be ideal for any business that encounters false money, hands down!Highly recommended.

Fast Count

I'm replacing a much older bill counter (pictured), which cost a lot more than this one. Our needs have changed and we were concerned about wear and accuracy after so long. Our volume is smaller and I appreciate how much smaller and lighter this is. It occupies a lot less space and is easy to move around. Our Brandt was a little faster, but it's a small difference. The Brandt was also much noisier, another feature we can do without. One thing the Brandt did exceptionally well was that it would reliably count the stack whether the bills were new, old, or mixed. That's where the IMC51 counter falls behind. It seems to be a lot more sensitive as to how bills are stacked. My old machine had batch mode as does this one, but it didn't have the UV/IR/MG to detect bad bills. The ability to detect bad bills in a batch is a valuable timesaver.Overall the IMC51 doesn't handle stacks as reliably as my old Brandt, and it isn't as big, heavy, and noisy. It also lacks the RS-232 serial connection to dump the data and doesn't have a USB interface, so you can't automatically monitor your counts. But it's a very cost effective replacement for the older technology, and worth putting up with the stack recounts.

HUGE time saver!

I bought this money counting machine for my husband- we own and (he) operate a business where many goods are paid for in cash. This machine has saved us so much time in the several weeks since purchasing! It is not too big, and is relatively easy to use! We both picked it up pretty quickly.

Great value

This money counter does the most basic stuff like counting bills but not denominations which is okay. If you put in the same bill it can count the value of those bills and give you the total but you have to play around with the settings. For the price I think its a good deal.

Takes patience

Overall it is a solid counter,.with basic features and a nice addition of auxiliary screen. My issue is that money gets stuck very often if you out it in uneven by just a tiny bit. Which is easy to do since the moment you barely lay the notes down it just inhales the stack.Takes getting used to but it is a massive time saver, solid and accurate counter.

Money counter

This money counter is much sturdier than I expected. It counts bills but doesn't differentiate between denominations. It also can detect 5 methods of counterfeiting. You can specify the denomination before the count so that upon finishing the count, it will tell you both the number of bills and the total value. There is also an external display for showing the customer the count also. It counts very quickly and very accurately (up to 150 bills in under 9 seconds. If the bills are new, it can accept a stack of 200).

Fast and accurate!

I've been using this money counter for a few months now and I absolutely love it. It counts a stack of bills extremely fast and it's always been dead on accurate. I also like that it has an external screen. It's well made and I expect this to last for a long time. The only thing I don't like is that it does not automatically detect the denomination of the bills being loaded. This means that you need to load each denomination separately and change a setting before scanning the next batch in order to get an accurate total. This is minor though, and once you do it a few times you can go through everything rather quickly. For the price you really can't go wrong. Highly recommended!

Nice basic bill counter

If you don't need a full-featured Cummins Jetscan professional money counter that can do mixed bills and sorting, etc for thousands more, this currency counter will count the number of bills in a stack just fine OR the value of the bills it counted as long as you correctly set the bill value manually on the menu before you count. And, of course, you just have to make sure manually that they are all the same denomination. The boot time on this one is a pretty zippy 4.75 seconds, which is much faster than many of the linux-based ones that take 30 seconds or more from power on to the time you can use them.I put a variety of currency in a variety of conditions through this and it counted them all just fine. The only time I got a jam is when I intentionally put a stack in the hopper sideways. It didn't like that, and I didn't expect it to.Beeping is a drag that seems to be common to all these inexpensive bill counters from China. I wish they had a function to turn that off, but this one doesn't, either. Still, for the price this is a nice bill counter with very basic function that will save you time if you process, for example, a lot of singles as a waiter, etc.

Money Counter

For best results, compress the bills being counted for a decent amount of time before running through the machine. Try running a stack that's been sitting in a bill wrapper for a while. Be prepared for some stop & go counting if your money is not flat and straight as possible. If the machine gets stuck, you can easily feed the trapped bill through manually, add it to the stack yet to be counted, and hit restart to continue the count. I had fun with the first batch of 92 bills, a few of which I'd just added to the stack. Some were in bad shape and it took a few tries to get them all counted. A stack of 100 $1 bills that have been in a wrapper for weeks was counted flawlessly the first time. The machine shows a livr and final count, and there is also an optional external USB display that can be positioned in such manner for someone sitting opposite you to witness the count as well. I missed filming the stack of a hundred because after a few fails with the first batch I was over recording, so I've uploaded a video showing what happens when a bill gets stuck. A handy money counting machine once you get acquainted with its quirks regarding imperfect bills.

it does not add the different batches or it does not recognizes the values in a mix bill.

Scary how fast it counts

Using this makes me fear for the health and safety of my bills! They get sucked in to the roller so fast, I sometimes worry that they're going to get ripped apart. Luckily, that hasn't happened yet (and I hope it never does). This isn't one of those fancy shmancy bill counters that can differentiate between different bills denominations. This one only does one type of bill at a time, and gives you a readout of how many there were and what the amount is supposed to be (if you included only the same type of bill and specified what that was on the machine before hand). For example, if I have 100 bills valued at $5, I have to tell the machine that it will be counting $5 dollar bills. It will then spin them through and tell you how many there were, with high accuracy. I have not had an instance where it counts them incorrectly, so it seems pretty good. The device itself is quite heavy, heavier than I anticipated, but I guess that's a good thing? Also, it counts cleaner and more crisp bills way easier than filthy crunched up ones. If you have a lot of bills that are crinkly and not in good shape, consider ironing them first to flatten them out. The bill counter works fine otherwise, and it's super fast and accurate.

Counting denominations of different bills

Does not count different denominations of bills and ones that do are several hundreds more.

It works but sometimes thinks a bill is counterfeit

Does its job for cheap but when doing 1s, it always thinks there is a counterfeit. When running it through again as a single a few times, it then reads it just fine. Really annoying because I have to restart. Only happens when I'm doing insanely big stacks of 1s though.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Can the MUNBYN IMC51 count the value of mixed bills automatically?

No. The IMC51 banknote counter does not automatically recognize mixed denominations. To calculate the value, count pre-sorted bills with the correct denomination selected, then use ADD mode to combine the totals from each denomination.

How fast is the IMC51 cash counter machine?

The IMC51 cash counter machine counts up to 1,100 bills per minute and has a 150-bill hopper and 150-bill stacker. Its upgraded roller is designed to improve feeding for older or creased bills.

What counterfeit detection features does the IMC51 banknote counter use?

The IMC51 banknote counter checks bills using UV, IR, magnetic, dimensional, thickness, security-line, variable-ink, spectrum, and fluorescence detection. Any bill that triggers an alert should be removed and manually inspected.

How do ADD and BATCH modes work on the IMC51 money counter?

ADD mode keeps a running total across multiple stacks. BATCH mode stops at a preset bill quantity for bundling, and ADD plus BATCH allows the machine to prepare bundles while maintaining the overall count.

What is the external display on the MUNBYN IMC51 used for?

The external display lets a customer or second operator see the counting result without viewing the main control panel. This is useful at cashier counters, teller stations, retail stores, and other face-to-face cash transactions.

Can the IMC51 count old or creased bills?

The upgraded roller is designed to handle normally circulated and creased bills more smoothly than a basic feed system. Flatten heavily folded notes, remove wet or torn bills, and load an aligned stack to reduce jams and false alerts.

Who should choose the MUNBYN IMC51 bill counter?

The IMC51 bill counter is suitable for retail stores, gas stations, restaurants, supermarkets, offices, and other businesses that primarily handle pre-sorted USD cash. Choose a mixed-denomination model instead when automatic denomination recognition is required.

What should I check when the IMC51 reports a feeding error?

Confirm that the bills are aligned and loaded in the correct direction, remove folded or damaged notes, and clean the feed path, rollers, and sensors according to the manual. If errors repeat with clean bills, contact MUNBYN technical support.
