MUNBYN IRT09J Rugged Tablet for Field and Warehouse Work

I purchased this rugged tablet from MUNBYN, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! This Windows rugged tablet has exceeded all my expectations and the large 12.2inch display has completely transformed my user experience.

This MUNBYN tablet is in a class all of its own. Its ingenious and rugged design guarantees that it can withstand the rigors of everyday use, and then some. It's also loaded with many great features. Everything from GPS, to hot-swappable batteries, to SIM card capability and fingerprint scanning, this one has it all. It's the best possible choice for EMS, law enforcement, construction work, scientific field research, and just about anything else that requires the use of heavy-duty electronics.The 650 nit display is easy to view in brightly lit areas, especially under sunlight. This makes it a top contender for outdoor use. I've taken mine with me hiking and camping and had no problem seeing it during the day. Another great thing about the display is that the orientation can be locked, or it can be set to rotate automatically. And the touch screen works perfectly, so the virtual keyboard is very responsive and easy to use. For those who prefer a physical keyboard, one can be connected via Bluetooth or USB.This tablet comes with Windows 11 Pro installed, which works quite well with its superfast quad-core processor. The operating system can be downgraded to Windows 10, however, for anyone who might need that version. And even though the 128GB SSD is more than enough for any occupational use, it can easily be upgraded to a larger capacity if needed. The drive is conveniently located behind a quick access panel on the back. I don't plan on replacing mine, but I do like knowing that it's a simple task if I should decide to later on.An optional docking station is available which further expands its utility and allows it to be used as a desktop PC. Anyone who is familiar with using military grade equipment will immediately recognize the exceptional quality found in this tablet. I've used plenty of other brands when I worked as a first responder, but none were as well-built as this one. The MUNBYN outperforms them all and can be picked up at a much lower price. If you are looking for the best MIL-SPEC tablet available, then this is the one to get!

It has the necessary horsepower and flawlessly performs exactly what I need it for in the field.I have run the MUNBYN Rugged Tablet IRT09 through its paces for the last 22 days... I had a few initial questions/issues which Awesome technical support immediately resolved. The support department is incredibly responsive and helpful. I am very pleased.I have listed pros and cons below.**Please note, that several features are inhibited that require noting listed in the Cons, which may affect your purchase decision. They were in no way, issues for my requirements for the MUNBYN IRT09.Pros1. Beautiful Vivid and Bright Screen, even in Direct Sunlight!2. Very easy to grip case and backstrap.3. Operating System is Windows 11 PRO.4. Fast processing, even for Windows Remote Desktop, or Vision Capture Software.5. Runs my Graphic and Engineering programs very fast and efficiently.6. Tough as Nails!! Rugged is an understatement! HEAVY and STRONG.7. Hot Swappable Batteries!!! LOVE IT!! The built-in battery operates the tablet while the Hot Swappable Battery is swapped.8. Fingerprint Authorization Reader... Works Beautifully! :)9. Excellent Built In Cameras!10. Excellent Battery Life, as described. There is no flashlight/camera flash driver in Windows 11, that detects or operates the flash for picture taking or the flashlight for general use. This is my number one negative, (Not an issue with the tablet, but with Windows 11). Beautiful built-in flash - unuseable.2. Ensure the secondary battery lock switch is closed after changing batteries, or the screen will turn off every three minutes. There is little to no chance of the battery coming out, just a frustrating black screen while you're working and no documentation detailing the result of not locking the latch.3. The built-in "F" Key is only functional for the scanner option. I did not purchase the scanner, therefore the F-Key has no purpose. It would be nice to have the functionality of assigning this key to another function when the scanner is not present.4. If you're looking for studio sound... this tablet is not for you. It has a single stereo speaker on the left side, under the display. The sound is functional, but not loud. I installed FxSound for a much-improved result with the driver.All in all... this is one Excellent Workhorse of a Machine!Takes excellent pictures, while performing numerous other functions. The Windows Remote Desktop APP is only available with Windows 11 Pro which is essential for my use. I can have multiple programming PCs attached to multiple PLCs and have no issue swapping between them.I've added a wireless precision stylus and Bluetooth keyboard to make it a functional desktop unit when necessary.FIVE GREAT BIG STARS from me. :)

This tablet works and I do use it. I am writing this review with it right now. It has lots of features that you find in a high end laptop which I appreciate. The two issues I have with it are the Celeron processor it came with. It is very slow. And it would be amazing if the tablet had a kickstand so you can sit down and use a regular keyboard with it.As for features, it has them all, including good I/O, long battery life, capable touch screen etc.. It is just the CPU that kills this thing.

Great tablet, I needed tablet with built in GPS, sun light visible and water resistant. Very fast and runs all the software I need for engineering, and I can use it as a chart plotter on my boat.

The customer support was very quick to reply and gave plan of how the support would be. Took care of the issue very quickly and the tablet is working great. Thank you so much for the awesome support.

Having a cradle with connected keyboard and mouse prevents frustration and issues from trying to log in with touchscreen. User can log in, navigate to/through application and then grab the table off the cradle for roaming work. Previous attempts to roll out tablets in a warehouse environment have failed due to difficulties logging in and navigating through applications. Having a wired network port on the cradle also prevents login issues that arise because the tablet Wi-Fi is not logged in. We love these tablets in our warehouse and production environment.

Pros: nice rugged design, super bright screen, Windows 11 Pro. Fingerprint reader is great. Cons: 128GB storage is very small in 2024. Our drive is half full just from the OS.

When I first got it, I wasn't too excited about it, but now, it goes with me everywhere. It has great battery life and you can see the screen outdoors. Worth what I paid for it.Thank you ??

I love this tablet! It truly is very rugged which I need in the construction industry. I would recommend this tablet to anyone. Make sure you also order the cradle docking station. This adds tremendously to the flexibility.thank you !

We're using this product in Wisconsin on the Verizon network in the field for residential construction. With a stylus, this tablet allows us with a PDF application to get accurate layout dimensions without needing to carry a large paper plan set.Its already survived numerous falls and jobsite spills -- we love it!Make sure to actually read the directions for startup and use for inserting the SIM card. I had to use their support because I wrongly inserted the verizon sim upside down. Support was fast and easy to deal with over WhatsApp for me.Will be buying from these guys in the future.

Customer service was very good, when I had issues with my tablet and I made a review Customer service reached out and investigated what my issue was, they followed up with an offer of a refund or replacement. The tablet in its self is a great tablet in terms of performance and functionality. However we had a crack on the screen and it was replaced quickly. Great product and great customer service experience.

Tablet was nice and sturdy. Good size for travel and perfect for on the job when out in the field.
